Length of exclusion
Allergies, hay fever
Blood can only be donated during periods without allergy symptoms. We do not recommend donation for people who have allergy symptoms all year round.
Acute infection or fever above 38°C
Exclusion for at least 14 days after the end of treatment and symptom resolution.
Contact with an infectious person (family member)
A ban for 14-21 days after recovery.
Use of antibiotics, antivirals and antifungals
14 dní po využívání.
Sick leave
Can be donated after termination of the sick leave.
Mononucleosis
1 year after recovery.
Tick bite
In 4 weeks at the earliest, if there are no symptoms of the disease and no evidence of Lyme disease or tick-borne encephalitis.
Tick-borne encephalitis
1 year after the clinical recovery.
Borreliosis
Cutaneous form - 6 months after administration of antibiotics,
neurological form - 2 years based on laboratory results, with chronic infection there comes a permanent exclusion.
After returning from European countries
Dle aktuální situace (viz tabulka níže Cestování).
After returning from countries outside Europe
28 days,
6 months - if the country is at risk of contracting malaria,
12 months of prophylactic use of antimalarials.
Tooth extraction
1 týden, v případě šití rány za týden po vyjmutí stehů.
Zubní implantát
Vyloučení na 4 měsíce
Malé chirurgické výkony (šití rány)
Exclusion 7 days after healing (after removal of stitches) - at the same time after the end of the sick leave.
Operace, chirurgické výkony většího rozsahu - patří sem i operace karpálních tunelů, hemiotomie, kosmetické operace, oční operace (kromě laserových operací katarakty, výměny oční čočky), transplantace vlasů, biopsie jater, ledviny, kostní dřeně, apod.
Exclusion for 4 months.
Plaster fixation
14 days to 3 months after removal (depending on the nature of the injury).
Tattoos (including permanent makeup, henna), acupuncture, piercings, ear piercing
Exclusion for 4 months.
Endoscopic examination
Exclusion for 4 months.
Léčená hypertense (vysoký krevní tlak) užívání léků na vysoký krevní tlak
If the BP is within normal limits and the medication does not contain more than 3 active substances, there is no contraindication to blood donation.
Hormonal contraception
There's no harm in donating blood.
Pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding)
Women must not donate blood during pregnancy and lactation (6 months after giving birth and 1 month after the end of lactation).
Miscarriage, termination of pregnancy
6 months after miscarriage or termination of pregnancy.
Menstruation
Nelze darovat krev v průběhu menstruace
Anti-D immunisation
6 months.
Receiving a transfusion
4 months.
Očkování tetanus, chřipka, meningokok klíšťová encefalitida, vzteklina, chřipka, černý kašel, záškrt
After 48 hours if the donor is free of complications and the vaccination was not given after exposure to the disease.
Po 48 hodinách - vakcína trojkombinace.
Exclusion for 1 year if vaccination is done after exposure to the disease.
Vaccination against TB, typhoid, mumps, measles
Exclusion for 4 weeks after application.
Hepatitis A vaccines
After 48 hours if the donor is free of complications and the vaccination was not given after exposure to the disease.
Hepatitis B vaccines
1 month.
Covid-19 vaccination (after each dose)
mRNA vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna) postponement 7 days if no further difficulties occur, otherwise 14 days after resolution of symptoms.
Protein vaccines (Novavax, Sanofi) delay 7 days if no further difficulties occur, otherwise 14 days after resolution of symptoms.
Vector vaccines (Astra Zeneca, Johnson & Johnson) deferred for 28 days.
Smallpox
Vaccination - 8 week ban.
In case of contact with a sick person - 14 day ban.
Psoriasis
It depends on the extent and location of the damage. Extensive damage (especially if it requires total treatment) and damage at the injection site are a disadvantage. Some drugs containing psoralens permanently prevent donation.
Diabetes
Yes, if the sugar level is normal, when compensated by the diet or when treated with oral antidiabetic drugs (PAD) without supportive therapy.
When treating diabetes with insulin, blood cannot be donated.
Celiacs
Permanent exclusion.
Antidepressants
6 months after the end of treatment.
Herpes
Exclusion for 14 days after complete healing (shingles block 1 month after completion of treatment).
Repeated collapses during donation.
Permanent exclusion.
